REASSEMBLY

CAUTION:

Wear protective gloves. Sharp areas on the seat frame and adjuster may injure your hands.

HINT:

  • Use the same procedure for the LH side and RH side.
  • The procedures listed below is for the LH side.

1. INSTALL FRONT SEAT WIRE LH (for Driver Side)

(a) Connect the 3 connectors and engage the 6 wire harness clamps.

2. INSTALL FRONT SEAT WIRE RH (for Front Passenger Side)

(a) Connect the 5 connectors and engage the 7 wire harness clamps.

3. INSTALL SEAT HEATER CONTROL SUB-ASSEMBLY LH (w/ Seat Heater System)



(a) Engage the claw to install the seat heater control.

(b) Engage the clamp and connect the connector.

4. INSTALL SEAT CUSHION CLIMATE CONTROL BLOWER (w/ Climate Control Seat System)

(a) Engage the 2 claws to install the seat cushion climate control blower.

(b) Using a T30 "TORX" socket, install the screw.

Torque: 2.6 N·m (27 kgf·cm, 23 in·lbf)

(c) Connect the connector.

5. INSTALL SEAT CUSHION CLIMATE CONTROL DUCT LH (w/ Climate Control Seat System)

(a) Engage the 2 claws to install the seat cushion climate control duct.

(b) Engage the 2 clamps (B).

(c) Engage the 2 clamps (A).

6. INSTALL SEATBACK CLIMATE CONTROL COVER LH NO. 2 (w/ Climate Control Seat System)

(a) Engage the 6 claws and install the seatback climate control cover LH No. 2.

7. INSTALL SEATBACK CLIMATE CONTROL BLOWER LH (w/ Climate Control Seat System)



(a) Install the seatback climate control cover LH No. 3.

(b) Using a T30 "TORX" socket, install the seatback climate control blower with the 2 screws.

(c) Engage the connector.

8. INSTALL SEATBACK CLIMATE CONTROL COVER LH NO. 1 (w/ Climate Control Seat System)

(a) Using a T30 "TORX" socket, install the seatback climate control cover LH No. 1 with the 4 screws.

9. INSTALL LUMBAR SUPPORT ADJUSTER ASSEMBLY LH (w/ Climate Control Seat System) SEAT: LUMBAR SUPPORT ADJUSTER ASSEMBLY (for Power Seat): INSTALLATION (2008 Sequoia)+

10. INSTALL LUMBAR SUPPORT ADJUSTER ASSEMBLY LH (w/o Climate Control Seat System) SEAT: LUMBAR SUPPORT ADJUSTER ASSEMBLY (for Power Seat): INSTALLATION (2008 Sequoia)+

11. INSTALL FRONT SEAT CUSHION SHIELD SUB-ASSEMBLY LH NO. 2



(a) Engage the hook to install the cushion shield.

(b) Install the screw.

12. INSTALL FRONT SEAT CUSHION SHIELD SUB-ASSEMBLY LH NO. 1

(a) Engage the hook to install the cushion shield.

(b) Install the screw.

13. INSTALL FRONT SEATBACK SHIELD LH



(a) Engage the claw to install the seatback shield.

(b) Install the 2 screws.

14. INSTALL FRONT SEATBACK SHIELD RH



(a) Engage the claw to install the seatback shield.

(b) Install the 2 screws.

(c) Engage the wire harness clamp.

15. INSTALL RECLINING ADJUSTER INSIDE COVER LH



(a) Engage the claw to install the reclining adjuster inside cover.

(b) Install the screw.

16. INSTALL RECLINING ADJUSTER INSIDE COVER RH

(a) Engage the claw to install the reclining adjuster inside cover.

(b) Install the screw.

17. INSTALL FRONT SEATBACK HEATER ASSEMBLY LH (w/ Seat Heater System)



(a) Set the seatback heater with the name stamp side facing the seatback cover.

(b) Install the seatback heater with new 9 tack pins.

18. INSTALL SEPARATE TYPE FRONT SEATBACK COVER



(a) Using hog ring pliers, install the seatback cover to the seatback pad with 2 new hog rings.

NOTICE:

  • Be careful not to damage the cover.
  • When installing the hog rings, avoid wrinkling the cover.


(b) Connect the seatback cover bracket to the seatback pad.

(c) Install the seatback cover wires.

(d) Using hog ring pliers, install 2 new hog rings to the seatback pad.

19. INSTALL SEATBACK COVER WITH PAD



(a) Install the seatback cover with pad to the seatback frame.

(b) Using hog ring pliers, install 4 new hog rings to the seat frame.

(c) Install the seatback cover bracket to the seat frame with the nut.

Torque: 5.5 N·m (56 kgf·cm, 49 in·lbf)

CAUTION:

After the seatback trim cover is assembled, make sure that the side airbag strap is not twisted.

(d) Install the seatback cover wires.

(e) Using hog ring pliers, install 2 new hog rings to the seat frame.

(f) Engage the hooks.

(g) Using hog ring pliers, install 3 new hog rings to the seat frame.

20. INSTALL FRONT SEAT HEADREST SUPPORT

(a) Align the protruding portion of the front seat headrest supports with the installation grooves of the front seatback frame.

(b) Engage the 4 claws to install the 2 headrest supports.

21. INSTALL FRONT SEAT CUSHION HEATER ASSEMBLY LH (w/ Seat Heater System)



(a) Set the seat cushion heater with the name stamp side facing the seat cushion cover.

(b) Install the seat cushion heater with new 30 tack pins.

22. INSTALL SEPARATE TYPE FRONT SEAT CUSHION COVER (w/ Leg Support Adjustment Switch)



(a) Using hog ring pliers, install the seat cushion cover to the seat cushion pad with 15 new hog rings.

NOTICE:

  • Be careful not to damage the cover.
  • When installing the hog rings, avoid wrinkling the cover.

23. INSTALL SEPARATE TYPE FRONT SEAT CUSHION COVER (w/o Leg Support Adjustment Switch)



(a) Using hog ring pliers, install the seat cushion cover to the seat cushion pad with 10 new hog rings.

NOTICE:

  • Be careful not to damage the cover.
  • When installing the hog rings, avoid wrinkling the cover.

24. INSTALL SEAT CUSHION COVER WITH PAD (w/ Leg Support Adjustment Switch)



(a) Install the seat cushion cover with pad to the seat frame.

(b) Install the seat cushion cover wire.

(c) Using hog ring pliers, install 4 new hog rings and attach the hooks.

HINT:

When installing the leg support hog rings, press the seat cushion cover with pad against the seat frame.

(d) Connect the connector and engage the 2 wire harness clamps.

(e) Connect the connector and engage the 2 wire harness clamps.

(f) Install the 2 clips.

25. INSTALL SEAT CUSHION COVER WITH PAD (w/o Leg Support Adjustment Switch)

(a) Engage the hooks to install the seat cushion cover with pad.

(b) Using hog ring pliers, install 2 new hog rings.

(c) Bend the 2 seat frame claws downward.

(d) Connect the connector and engage the 2 wire harness clamps.

(e) Connect the connector and engage the 2 wire harness clamps.

(f) Install the 2 clips.

26. INSTALL FRONT POWER SEAT SWITCH LH



(a) Install the switch with the 3 screws.

(b) Connect the connectors.

27. INSTALL FRONT SEAT CUSHION SHIELD INNER LH



(a) Engage the 2 claws and clip to install the cushion shield.

(b) Install the screw.

28. INSTALL FRONT SEAT INNER BELT ASSEMBLY LH SEAT BELT: FRONT SEAT INNER BELT ASSEMBLY: INSTALLATION (2008 Sequoia)+

29. INSTALL LEG SUPPORT ADJUSTMENT SWITCH (w/ Leg Support Adjustment Switch) SEAT: POWER SEAT SWITCH (for Front Seat): INSTALLATION (2008 Sequoia)+

30. INSTALL FRONT POWER SEAT LUMBAR SWITCH SEAT: POWER SEAT SWITCH (for Front Seat): INSTALLATION (2008 Sequoia)+

31. INSTALL FRONT SEAT CUSHION SHIELD LH



(a) Connect the switch connectors.

(b) Engage the 2 claws to install the cushion shield.

(c) Install the 3 screws.

(d) Install the 2 screws.

(e) Using hog ring pliers, install the rubber band of the seatback cover to the seat frame with 2 new hog rings.

32. INSTALL RECLINING POWER SEAT SWITCH KNOB



(a) Engage the 2 claws to install the knob.

33. INSTALL SLIDE AND VERTICAL POWER SEAT SWITCH KNOB



(a) Engage the 2 claws to install the knob.

34. INSTALL SEAT POSITION AIRBAG SENSOR (for Driver Side) SUPPLEMENTAL RESTRAINT SYSTEMS: SEAT POSITION SENSOR: INSTALLATION (2008 Sequoia)+

35. INSTALL OCCUPANT CLASSIFICATION ECU (for Front Passenger Side) SUPPLEMENTAL RESTRAINT SYSTEMS: OCCUPANT CLASSIFICATION ECU: INSTALLATION (2008 Sequoia)+
